Hi all, am applying for lots of jobs at the moment, which require "applying in writing/cover letter to blah blah". When they say this do they mean literally in writing or can you type a cover letter. Sorry if this question sounds a bit stupid, but i don't want to mess up as the jobs are ideal for me. Thanks for any replies.

Thanks Fran1, I just wondered if they put "apply in writing" and i typed the letter they might think i completely ignored what that they wanted it "in writing" if that makes any sense at all. I have already typed the letter but wanted to check with more intelligant mumsnetters than me Thanks for your reply.
