Maternity leave and holiday pay

I've decide I'm not going to return to work after my maternity leave ends - I know I will have accrued holiday entitlement as normal over the course of the year. Am I entitled to pay for untaken leave once I hand in my notice? I can't seem to find this information anywhere, and I want to be clear of my rights before I notify my employer. Any advice much appreciated.

I've just taken voluntary redundancy after maternity leave and I was paid the holiday I had accrued. Though if you're worried your employer might try to duck out of it I'd definitely call ACAS first.

Yes you will. Hand in your notice as late as possible though, so if you are on a month notice, hand in your notice a month before your year maternity leave is up. Any holiday accrued and not taken will be paid in your final salary just as it would if you were at work.

Hand your notice in on the last day possible (work back from the day you're due back to work from Maternity Leave and minus your notice period) - so maximise your annual leave. I did this and managed to just scrape by the date for bonus payments too - came to quite a bit!

Can I add a quick question to this as well (sorry for hijack)? Seems they are not accepting my flexible work request so I'm resigning as well. Now I still have maternity leave till the first week of October, and I'm getting a bonus payment mid-October. Should I go back to work, resign the day after receiving my bonus payment (so after 2 weeks back at work) and then take my accrued holidays....or take my accrued holiday directly at the end of my maternity leave and resign while on holiday...
I know either way the employer will not be impressed but I did say I will never come back full-time...
