Anybody had a career consultation/workshop or similar ?

I really, really need to get my act together.
Prior to having children I was in sales for 8 years which I enjoyed but it never really felt like a real job IYSWIM.
At the age of 33 I feel ready to start my real career.
Am not afraid of hard work or starting at the bottom again, even more study if that's what it takes.
My degree is in English, 2.1, A'Levels in Business, Drama and English.
Do not want to teach lol
Who or what would you do next to help me decide on a career path ?

I would recommend a book called What Colour is Your Parachute, which helps you hone down your options and has good advice on how to start making inroads to your chosen sector. It is well worthwhile doing the exercises, and then maybe going to see a careers adviser - the University of London Careers Group provides a good service.

However, you need to go with a few ideas, so would do some personal brainstorming first. A careers adviser will help you develop your ideas but you might feel inhibited in sharing your wildest dreams with them, so do some personal reflection first.
