Thinking about starting your own business? Find advice and support on our Make It Your Business talk board
Last time I was going for interviews, it was quite common to be snapped, partly to identify you, partly to see whether you scrubbed up OK.Is this not done any more?NB my career joints are creaking they are so out of use~!
What type of job? Model, yes ([wink)], everything else I's say no......
Also, leave out your date of birth and marital status etc.
God yes, DoB is state secret
It's wanky. CVs received by me with a photo on make me do this - .They can assess your grooming and presentation at interview, and shouldn't be making any judgements about you based on a photo.
Nooooooooooo do not put a photo! It really does not help and can make employers feel a tad uncomfortable. If grooming/appearance are important this will be sussed out at interview - a photo will neither help nor hinder.Incidentally, the age/marital status thing can be a bit of a misnomer - that all depends on the type of job/organisation/the life stage you are at etc.Employers can generally work out rough age anyway from school/employment dates.Good luck hunting! <am also hunting- must stop MNetting and get back to interview homework!>
God no, If I got a cv with a photo on it I'd lmao (and put it to one side). LOLagree no DOB or Martital Status either
thanks I may put mental status though!
