Why should I feel so pressurised?
As a primary school teacher with 2 children, one Yr 4 and one in nursery, I work 3 days a week. My DS is due to start full time education in Sept. I feel under much pressure from family and DH to immediately think about looking for a full-time job. The fact that I spend the 2 days a week I don't work, looking after the house, washing, cleaning, ironing, cooking, shopping, gardening, fitting in the after school clubs, activities etc, I can't fit in during the days I work and helping the children from our childminder's achieve their's - does not seem to register with my DH. All activities the children do during the week and weekend are always orangised by me!! Yes we do need the extra money!! However I feel that I should not feel so pressurised into looking for a full-time job. I really don't know how I would cope. DH at the moment doesn't come home from work until at least 7pm.He does help put the kids to bed if they are up, but that is all he does around the house. Any advice????

I have no clue why you would return to f-t work when you neither wnat to or need to.

Advice on how to tell people you are capable of making your own judgements? Okaaay.

A work life balance is fundamental to happiness and health. That balance is different for different people and for you involves this particular level of work and other life stuff. Extra money is always good. But so is sanity.

grow a thick skin?
I don't see how anyone can pressure you into it. Being a mum is pretty much a full-time job, and those of us who work [I do 3-4 days] are stretched to do part-time. I think I would go selective on the hint-taking from here and ignore completely all of those who think that younger child going to school means that you get to sit and watch telly all day
