cant think of any - i think they can be bad news - especially if you have to pay for any outlay so be careful

what about babysitting/childminding etc etc

I would avoid these "make £££'s" type of jobs - to plagiarise someone else, you can expect tomake exactly that... £3. Sorry.

Wthout nkowing what you are good at, it is hard to know what to suggest? I work from home, doing my original job at reduced hours...I am assuming won't be possible for you?

Can you put word around you DC's nursery/school/whatever for the kind fo sewing work you mention?

You can also do things like proof-reading and data-entry.

sewing is really useful - you could approach fabric shops and see if they need anyone to make curtains or whatever

or let everyone you know that you do alterations? ad in local paper or in pta newsletter? i pay 7.50 to get trousers taken up - id happily give them to a mum at school rather than the dry cleaner

proofreading - i think you only really get work if you have professional experience - the courses out there are a rip off - im an editor and i only employ people who are experts in the area i am publishing

try www.mumandworking.co.uk there are lots of details about various work from home opportunities on the site.

I'd have thought with your sewing machine you could find some sewing work- you may have to register as self employed with the Inland Revenue, but it's v. easy, just a form to fill in, and you have within 3 months of starting to do that.
