Have an interview today to do 2 nights a week in the city working from 5pm to midnight - it means I wouldhave to get the last train home and I wondered if anyone else did this sort of work - it would fit in with my life so much better -I would actually earn something at the end of the month rather the piddly amount I get after paying childcare and exorbitant fares!

Dh is happy for me to do it as it would mean there are 2 nights a week he is in control of the TV and can watch all the sport he wants and fall asleep on the sofa at 8pm without me moaning at him.

What other things will I have to consider though?

May have a rpoblem with parking the car at the station but have just spoken to a taxi rank near there and they say it is a very busy time of night and so I shouldn't be worried about walking back to the car alone!

I think that sounds great, can't think of any drawbacks really. Like you, say childcare will be sorted and cheaper! Fares will be off-peak. Good luck with the interview.

Haven't heard of night PA work before. What sort of money is it, if you don't mind me asking?

Is really good money - about a third more than working in the daytime - most law firms and some banks do it - you are there to do the stuff that doesn't get done in the day!
