Most of my pg friends worked until lockdown and are starting to go back now. If you choose not to work you’ll need to discuss with HR how this impacts your entitlement to mat leave etc. None of my friends have been able to get sick notes until about 36 weeks. The docs aren’t writing sick notes just because of pregnancy. Not here, anyway. What was your 12 week isolation for?

Well you can’t get a sick note, because you’re not sick you’re pregnant.

Was your isolation purely because you’re pregnant?

If you don’t want to go back to work purely because your don’t want to risk it you employer is not obliged to pay you. You need to discuss it with them and find out what your options are. It might also depend on what sort of work you do, what the working environment is, can they make it safe for you, can you work at home.

Yh isolated due to being pregnant everyone was telling me to, i would of happily carried on working. I work in retail mainly on shopfloor lifting items and pushing stock around so it's all customer based.

Yes will speak to my manager and also my midwife, I know measures have been put in place at work with the 2m rule, but still abit aprehensive, ive also heard after 28 weeks your more at risk and il be 28 weeks gone by the time I'm suppose to go back.

Maternity will start at 36 weeks if you are off sick at this time but you can take it from 29 weeks or use some holiday as well.
