Asking on behalf of my DH who has been out of work for 5 years bringing up our children.
He was employed as a web designer/ user interface but has for the past 5 years been doing SAHD stuff and random odd jobs.
Now he is intending to get back to work as our children are school age.
Is it going to be a nightmare for him to get a job again? I understand it may not be at the same level, that's fine he's willing to start more junior and work his way up. Just wondering if his skills will be completely obsolete after all this time. And what he can do to get back out there!
Can he look at returnships? These are usually advertised as being towards women but actually they are for anyone. Most major firms seem to offer them, so he could look at firms he knows use the technology he is familiar with and start there?
