I'm thinking of requalifying to teach English to adults. I'm looking into the CELTA course which I know is tough but I hope do-able. I have a degree (languages) and a Masters in another field. And I have some questions!
- I know funding cuts have hit the sector hard. Is there work out there?
- Is it possible to find part-time work that will fit around nursery / primary school?
- Is it realistically a long-term career option? What sort of pay could I expect? I don't mind taking a pay cut in the short term but I need to know it's viable in the long term
In case it makes a difference, I'm 40 and I live in London.
Thanks so much for any advice!
