I am not a legal consultant but i do know that you are still legally entitled to your full maternity leave payment which may still be due to you plus redudancy payment. Whilst going through the consultation you could ask for a bit more
I've been doing a bit of googling and have figured out what my statutory redundancy would be or there abouts. I don't think there is any provision for more and can't see why an employer might offer more unless they were looking for volunteers during a period of large layoffs.
I just got the letter through from HR and will have a consultation meeting next week. It says I can bring a colleague. Is it a good idea to have someone else at the meeting? What do I say at this meeting??
