Another job interview for a role I got rejected f or a few months ago

I've been for 3 interviews in the past year and have been rejected from all of them :( The jobs I have applied for have been based in the NHS.
I applied for a similar job recently and have got an interview next week. One of the interviewers (out of two) is the same person I had from my previous interview which I didn't get a great vibe from and I'm debating if I should attend!.
The job was only advertised for 5 days which makes me think there could be internal applicants and I'm concerned that the person interviewing me will recognise me. In my last interview I felt they were going through the motions. This aside I do need and want a job at the moment!
What would you do??

go for it you never know it might have been a tough choice for the interviewers last time and she might remember you for good reasons!
Be confident go in there thinking they would be lucky to have you as part of the NHS not just how lucky you will be if they give you the job.
if you go for it again surely it shows determination and that you really want this job.

I know how you feel though, I've recently applied for two jobs, got interviews for both, a second interview for the second one - and didn't get either. Two rejections in one week. They were horrendous as well and I spent weeks revising for the first interview. So stressful!

Having said that it's interview experience, that's the way I'm looking at it. I've been in the same job for 18 years so these were the first two I'd had in all that time.

If I were you I'd feel justified in feeling wary and I'd probably not go (because I'm a wuss and hate interviews) but on the other hand I'd think nothing ventured nothing gained.

Thanks for your replies. I'm always surprised how low I feel if I get rejected from a job even if I didn't want it! I have interviews too, absolutely hate them!

That's 'hate' not ' have'

lots of people want the same job. if ten people go to the interview all equally as good then you have a one in ten chance.
yes your feeling wary is justified because interviews are already nerve wrecking without this extra concern but still go go go dont be a wuss like tanfastic haha..you have a chance even if it is one in ten haha.

I was the same. I didn't even want the first job after I found out more about it at interview but still felt a sense of rejection after they rang to tell me I hadn't been successful.

Worse was the second one where I got a second interview. Second interview lasted two hours. I was getting on with my prospective bosses like a house on fire, they were talking terms and where I'd park etc....then I got a phone call saying they'd given it to "someone with more relevant experience of the industry". Gutted!

Oh well....onwards and upwards 😂

In this day and age you are lucky to get an interview - I deal with the recruitment and interview in my present role and for an admin post I get nearly 100 applicants. I only ever interview six at most.

Cat exact same situation here. Should we just bloody go for it? I'm pretty sure I'm headed for rejection again, so I figure what's to loose.

You'll be fine, fingers crossed. I won't look at possible interview questions until the night before as it stresses me out to look at them! Maybe that's what I'm doing wrong Grin

I'm through to the second round, and it wasn't anywhere near as painful as I thought it'd be catnap. I was pleasantly surprised! Good luck this week
