Back to work-HELP!

Hi,

Really looking for some advice. I've been off work for a year now. I went back on payroll on 24/03/17 and my return date is this Wednesday.

I thought I could handle going back but turns out I can't! So I'm really looking for anyone who's had a similar experience with paying back the additional maternity pay. I took the extra pay for the first 3 months on top of SMP (now regretting it). My notice period is 5 weeks so I need to return for at least that amount of time.

Do they count you as 'back to work' from the date I went back on payroll? So does that mean I can leave at the end of June as that will be the 3 months pay worked off? Or will they start me paying back from this Wednesday, meaning I have to wait until august to leave or pay it back?

They aren't open until my return date and I really need to decide what's going on by tonight so hoping for help here
