I am about to go and do my first KIT day before maternity leave ends at end of April.
However, during a meeting with bosses last week I was told that they have rolled out new contracts that include a clause to allow them to lay off staff for up to 4 weeks when business is slow.
Anybody know what our rights are here? Can I stick to my guns and demand my contract is honoured/refuse to sign a new contract? Or, if I do have to sign a new contract, can I put it off until my official return to work day?
So stressed with this, I cannot afford to take 4 weeks off work if it comes to that!
