I'm returning to work in may following 9 months maternity leave, I'm having to chase and chase my boss to get things sorted and I have a feeling he is going to try and give me a different job role - simply because my colleague has been covering for me and he wants to keep her in the job. My question is, can he do this? Surely he cannot let her have my job and put me somewhere else? I know because I've taken additional mat leave that I'm not fully entitled to my old job, but surely he cannot do this?
I've also requested to reduce my hours, if they were to offer me a new role because they say i cannot do my current role part time, can they demote me?
