I recently became unemployed over a month ago. I'm currently looking getting back into employment, I've worked in admin for the last 4 years and I'm currently applying for admin jobs I've had two interviews and not got either job. So I'm feeling a little disheartened.

The problem is I actually have no desire to want to pursue a career in admin. I would love a career change but not sure how I would do it? I have a 2.5 year old and I am a single parent. His dad sees him once every two weeks and isn't to keen to help out any other time, and while my parents are great they too have full time jobs so aren't around to help to much during the day!

I would love to go back to uni to study but I'm not sure how this would work?

I'm really lost on what to do. Any advise?

There's a career coach posting out of the US, Liz Ryan, very inspirational advice and blog posts. You might want to check it out, not much but something you can easily do, and work from there.

Distance education might work for you, but what would you study?

I think go for another career you are interested in,.....

NHS or civil service? i know some are admin roles but maybe you just need a change...
sorry to be patronizing but two interviews is not a lot....you need to apply more or change the content of your application.
