ESA and Return to Work

Ello,

Situation is this: I am in the ESA Support Group and need to cancel it as I am starting a fixed-term job v. soon. Now, I don't know how this will pan out, but I'm going to try it anyway - worst case is I go through claiming ESA again!

Anyway, how on earth does one cancel ESA without phoning the DWP? I cannot, simply cannot, physically use the phone unless my hearing magically regenerates; but there is no contact address either. Has anyone wrote to these people?

Also, has anyone experienced cancelling ESA then affecting their DLA? I have a lifetime award, and it is enabling me to do things; so if that's affected, then I may not be able to take the job! My job won't involve me doing anything I've said I can't do (there is an enormous degree of flexibility which will help when I need longer to do stuff), but I'm worried someone will go: Has job > Doesn't need DLA. It's not that simple.

It's a bit of a headache and I'm not sure what to do. I suspect there may be an overpayment too, but I'll obviously set that to one side to send it back if it occurs.

Has anyone found the transition back to work smooth when dealing with the DWP (because I'm honestly dreading dealing with them) ?
