Back to work full time and seriously not loving it. I hate being apart from my LO for such long periods of time and he is not a content little baby anymore. I'm a teacher with a long commute leaving at 7am and returning near 5pm. Part time would be great but would never get it due to timetable issues. Anyone else been in this situation? Paying for childcare not a problem as parents and in laws great help. Don't want to give up work completely but what else can I do? Have taught secondary and primary music. Considering private tutoring. Suggestions?Confused

What about applying for part time posts in a different school? Sometimes it's just a change that's needed.

How old is your baby? I went back (teaching) part time when DD was 12 months for a year, then nannied for a year until I had DS. Back part time when he was 1 and full time when he was 3.

Full time is really hard, but I wasn't getting job or home satisfaction from part time.
