Hi
I'm thinking of re-training. I have been an office manager for 18 years. I love travel and languages and currently doing an ou degree. My question is how do you get into being a travel agent with a view to getting onto manangement level in the next few years (children will be older then) and is the money any good (at least eventually) ? Thanks

I would go independant as the larger comps Thomson etc are constantly re grouping ( eliminating) and front line staff seem to be the ones that go as internet and call centres seem to do better......

Hi there,
We are currently recruiting for our 'Kids in the Med' reservations team. We are an upmarket, specialist tour operator (not travel agent) and we need a new team member for our family division.
Have a look at our website, Western and Oriental.

Hi JChick
Wow what an amazing looking company. You must love working for them. When you say you are recruiting does that mean working in your London office? I live near Chester!

Do I need any specific qualifications to get into this line of work? Thanks for your help.
