My partner is about to start a new job and i am a stay at home mum. Can i claim JSA as he is about to be working full time?.
Nope not usually, unless you are actively seeking and available for work and you have enough NI contributions to clImcontributions based JSA. Working/Child Tax Credit a possibility.
Sorry claim*. Am on phone
You need to be available for at least 16hrs a week so if you make yourself availabe for evening/night week then you may be able to claim contribution based JSA (max of 26 weeks payment)
I am available for work but dont have a job yet. Would i get full amount JSA?.
You couldn't receive both smp and jsa (contribution based). If you have paid enough class 1 national contributions for the last two tax years then yes you should get approx £65 per week.
