I have been ringing round Toddler groups to sell my books but seems like others have been there and done it!!

I rung a couple of playgroups up with the intention of giving them a early years leaflet to give to all parents, but they said they have done this in the past and never got much response.

Is this the case? Have you found this?

Just wondered if you haven't had many sales by giving the leaflets to the play group to give to the parents?

Or is it just the few I rung?

Advice greatly appreciated

Sorry don't kown about toddler groups but I do quite well at school Christmas fairs with another kind of product, I imagine books could do well also.

I didn't realise schools had commercial stalls at their fairs, (some don't). Its hard finding them as when you phone up they school the admin person never knows anything about it because its the PTA that usually orgainises them so you have to relie on details being passed on. I am going to try mailing PTA's C/O the schools with a little flyer and see how that goes this year.

Am not an Usborne Organiser - but do work for Sure Start. We buy from an Usborne Organiser and put a lot of business their way so it's worth trying your local one. www.surestart.gov.uk

I am sort of an organiser but I really joined to get the starter pack.

I have found that at NCT and toddler group events in my area that not many parents buy, even when there is a stall there as the books, though gorgeous are expensive at full price. People I know tend to but cheap books for £1-2 each from booksale or the Book People catalogue.

Perhaps you could try more affluent areas. My dd attends a private school and they had a scholastic book fair with some very overpriced books but did really well!!
