Can Some one please come and enlighten me!

Had parents consultation today and have been told by DS1 teacher that he is going to be placed on the G&T register for his maths skill's,( he is in Yr1) now he has always been good with numbers but i was so proud and chuffed to bits that actually forgot to-ask what this meant, all i do know is that he will be taken out of lesson's and given more challenging work. I do plan to ask his teacher but if anyone could help that would be great!

We review the G and T reg every year. kids move on and off
