Gifted and bullied by a school Mum

Dear Mothers,
I need HELP! I accept it that I can help my son academically but when it comes to bullying I really feel that I am helpless. My Son is really gifted and in a private school. He has been harassed by a school Mum, who keeps spreading rumours about him and also keeps telling him off at school gate. When it happened first time, we told our school (and our son) to stay away from her son and make new friends outside his immediate class. Now my son is moving to a new school and this child/mum is coming too! I fear my son's mental health will be really broken if this continues. Please suggest what should I do?

Is it just the mum, or the child too? I would imagine it would be relatively easy to keep him apart from the mum, especially if she’s behaving poorly towards him within sight of staff.

Rumours are tough. Have you spoken to her? Most bullies are really floored by someone talking to them really calmly with witnesses around.
