DS and a number of others have apparently been IDd as G &T hmm - I have been on Directgov and tbh I cannot see that this is possible for the under 5s as much as I am flattered ....grin

it says "knows, independent"

is this just wishful thinking really?!

It most certainly is possible for a child under 5 to be identified as 'gifted', 'talented' or both. Just means your DS's ablities have been observed to be more advanced than his peers. How much more, remains to be seen later on (probably around Year 3 when all children should have a good grasp of reading and basic maths).

thanks - I'll enjoy it while I can then .... ! do you know what "knows, independent" might mean?! I am assuming know-it-all which would seem to make sense!

Directgov info is woolly at best and totally out of date. Check out www.nagcbritain.org.uk instead. Lots of free fact sheets and good advice.
