Horrible Legs

Does anyone else have legs like me? I am quite pale skinned and all over my legs, I have purple/pinks spots basically at the base of every hair on my leg. So when I have shvaed my legs I am left hair free but covered in spots. They are not made worse by shaving they just stay the aame aa the time. I can nver wear skirts and even feel paranoid in cut off jeans etc.

Any advice as this really gets me down.. I don't recall having it in my teens as I used to wear skirts all the time, I can't remember when I got them but it must have been roughly about five years ago.

I'm covered in little spots on my legs, they look like heat rash, my legs get irritated by everything and little spots come up, then turn to scabs and then turn to little purple marks - bleugh! I still wear skirts though I just think f it! I'm all pale skinned too, I wonder if the magical fish will have a cure for it or someone!

Maybe we should rub the magical fish on our legs!

The heat's made me crazy it's 30 degrees plus, I can't be doing with it anymore!

I don't have the spots but they are white and totally fat and shapeless!!! I must get the fake tan going but in the meantime I only really show my ankles! Nightmare in this weather though! I've always wanted great legs but never had them even when I was young and slim!!

I used to have this too, and on the tops of my arms aswell...and have managed to get rid of them.
I switched my washing powder to 'surcare' its a non fragranced hypoallergenic..and no more expensive than other brands. They do fabric conditioner too. Strange as I never used to get them either, and so assumed it couldnt be iritation but it has really helped.
I also started to use hypoallergenic shave balm on my legs after shaving, which also does wonders.
Let me know if you try and this works for you!

Same here kissalot - I think mine are ingrown hairs and they sound exactly like yours - little red bumps all over the place! I've had them a couple of years and am now totally fed up with them. I'm waging war on them at the moment - I got some tendskin lotion on the net(bloody expensive)which seemed to help but it was so pricey I gave up on it. Now I'm using a roll on thing called PFB vanish - I've been a bit erratic using it so can't def recommend it as yet but does seem to be helping. Basically it forces the hair to uncurl and come through the skin - the bumps should then go as they are basically little infection bumps.

I've also started exfoliating my legs and stopped shaving and started using immac instead - I think shaving can make them worse, especially if you use a double bladed razor - I was using the Venus blades and I think that's when my probs started (single blades are better for ingrown hairs).

Unfortunately I've become a bit obsessed about rooting out the hairs with tweezers so now I've got some attractive little scars to go with my bumps!

let me know if you find a solution!!

Thanks! Babyonboard, is there a specific brand of shave balm that you use or just anything hypoallergenic?

i will say that mine havent been as bad since i stopped shaving. DH uses the Veet wax strips on my legs for me.... she's great at doing it! Still a few bumps and spots, but nothing near as bad as when i used to shave.

I got it at www.salonlines.co.uk (sorry, can't do links). Can't remember how much it was now - still a bit pricey but lasts longer than tendskin and much easier to apply. I'm rolling it on as I type!!!

Also meant to say that when I had red bumps on my arms (painting an attractive picture of myself here, aren't I?) which I think were unrelated to ingrown hairs, I got rid of them by scrubbing them with using bodyshop t-tree shower gel - that might be worth a try too.

I get red bumps on my arms too (what an attractive pair we are Zippy) and have scrubbed at that with a body mitt thingy on and off and did seem to help but never even thought to try it on my legs (duhh) Thanx
