DS penis size?!

I wonder if any of you with older DS's can let me know your experience - this is nothing I can change but my husband and I are curious.

My 15 month old Ds is perfectly formed, and I thought everything was as it should be, but recently I went on a swimming outing with a few of my friends who have boys the same age, and their little chaps were all significantly more impressive down below (of course I wasn't staring but couldn't help noticing). My DS is about an inch and the other boys were about 2 inches.

Could the fact that they were circumcised and he is not be a factor (tho I would have thought that would work the other way round)

Do boys experience a 'penis growth spurt'.

I feel so shallow for enquiring about this, but obviously I want him to be happy and to be able to answer questions when they arise a few years from now, and hopefully help him accept it if that is the case.

FYI Dh is not freakishly small in the trouser department - simply average!

There was a thread on this not long ago, ffff - it's called buried penis - it's quite common and I think most boys grow out of it. HTH

I hope they have a growth spurt too, ds1 is a bit on the stumpy side

I know what you mean, suzy - unfortunately by the time they get to an age where it really matters they don't let you see any more!

What age is that, Janh? Ds1 is constantly fiddling with his - particularly when I read his bedtime story.

Report
Janh · 11/07/2005 00:13

Oh, a bit older than DS1, moo - DS2 still fiddles, mind you, but has been hiding his for a couple of years and DS1's is a complete stranger, lol.

2" sounds a lot for a 15month old!!

Thanks Jan, I don't think my ds has a buried penis, just a little 'un. Nothing I can do about it anyway so I should just forget about it - glad to hear you think 2 inch is a lot Blu!
And as for fiddling with it, my ds is sooo rough with himself, maybe he's trying to stretch it [ 'Bless' emoticon!]

I think 2 inches sounds a lot for a 15 month old too (and I've got one also). He isn't on hand to measure just now (at Nursery, about the leave to pick him up) but don't think he is yet 2 inches and his dad is quite generously proportioned.

Please don't all go off rushing to measure your DS's penises! That's mildly disturbing... Offhand and without a measuring tape my 16 month old is about and inch and a half, and average I assume! They're all different...it's hard to tell..

He's 15 months old. Why on earth would penis size be a problem when he's only a baby?

Report
geekgrrl · 11/07/2005 16:48

my 19m old is also completely under-endowed, poor chap. Sometimes it looks the size of a sultana, it's certainly no longer than an inch in warm weather. He's a tall and chubby toddler so maybe it's down to that?

And yes I am very slightly concerned that he might end up getting teased when he's older.

Just asking for thoughts on the topic WWB, I'm not planning on booking him in for an enhancement or anything!

Just wondered why you were getting yourself worried over this when he's still only a baby. If he were 15 years old it might be a bit more worth worrying about

actually its not really a subject you could bring up with your real life friends, well i couldnt "oh my ds has a tiny penis" isnt really a subject i want to discuss especially with his friends mothers

I know I'm jumping the gun WWB, check this thread in 14 years time... I think dh is more concerned than me, of course.

As you say Fio, I can't bring myself to talk with my friends about it, so I thought I canvas you guys. Anyway, sounds like my boy is just hanging (!) with some well endowed dudes. I'll just have to get him some new petite friends...

knowing how most men have complexes about their penises anway [in my limited experience! ] I do hope we don't pass any complexes ob to our ds's. I have no idea how big or small my ds's is but i will teach him to be Proud of his Penis!

I'm not saying anything about DS's...ever. It would come out all wrong...I mean how do you put it 'you have a lovely penis'? NO! 'your penis is a penis to be proud of...'?! shudder!!!

DS is already incerdibly proud of his anyway lol

Report
fastasleep · 12/07/2005 15:10

Incredibly even!

I was thinking this today!!! I always thought ds having a 'little' one was cos he was just a baby (15 months) but saw another 15 month old's today and it was HUGE.
