Been to see him earlier. he is doing well on his recovery. but his heart rate is very erractic (from 31-130bpm whislt i was there). he is having problems with food and drink going to his lung, but they are hoping that is because of the tubes etc tha were down his throat and should correct its self. he also has a terrible cough, could be the food/drink prob but sounds very nasty, possible infection. so he is likely to be in ITU longer than they initially thought.

awww hun, hope you are ok.

A little set-back yes, but you know the saying - needs to get worse before it gets better.

He will fight this and you will all be stronger for it.

Glad you were able to see him again today. Big hugs to you all as usual xxx

I was wondering how you had got on seeing him Misdee, thanks for the update. It must be so upsetting for you seeing him like this. Take comfort from the fact that he is in good hands and getting the best care possible.

Did you cope alright yourself, seeing him?

Sorry, lots of "seeings" in there aren't there

Aw hun. You are doing well - give yourself a hug!

Like JM&B says - things often get/look worse before they get better. Hang on in there.

Did Peter know you were there? Or are they still keeping him in a coma just now.

sorry for all the questions, I can hardly think of anything else atm

he is awake. the bought him out of sedation thursday afternoon. i was shocked as thougt he'd be sedated longer. he has been chatting ot me, but the nurses say he'll probably forget most of his time in ITU as they slowly take him off the morphine etc.
