hand foot and mouth infection???/

yep, sometimes mistaken for chicken pox or german measles. It can be very itchy for the child and quite often starts around the neck area or in the mouth on the tongue. Not life threatening but very contagious. When spots in mouth some children are fussy about eating otherwise the children go about their usual business but away from others.

thanks for that its just ds was told by our gp that he has got it ,he gave me some cream for him but tonite he got it on his tongue is there a oral solution that i could give him???

My little girl had this, thougt she had had an allergic reaction to food as red bumps appeared on her hands, knees and feet. She was not bothered by them and they lasted about 10 days but she did get mouth ulcers and would not eat much.
She just rode it out alone. At the same time she also caught molescum - red blistery spots on the top of her arm, back and leg, these lasted for three months. There are so many little nasty but harmless things children pass around. I think she caught both from a playbarn.

I wasnt given any but found the mouth cleared up quite quickly 3 days. Might be worth you enquiring on NH helpline.

Dd had this a while ago. She was a little bothered by the blistering in her mouth but not by the blistering on hands and feet. The whole thing was fairly mild and over quite quickly. Hope it is the same for you.

yer my sons and partners surname is miles sorry i was a bit slow!!! lol. got some mouth spreay from the chemist today and its seems to have gone down alot already ...
