Have been feeling extrememly tired yesterday and today and then this afternoon i started to feel dizzy. It seems to be worse when i'm sitting down and i keep trying to focus and then everything starts swimming.

Also feel a bit queasy.

Any ideas or am i just getting old

nutcracker Fri 24-Jun-05 18:28:07

Yeah am sooooooooooo tired, it was a real struggle to go to school.

Had soime tea and did feel better for a bit but now it's back again.

nutcracker Fri 24-Jun-05 18:54:01

No one then ?

dejags Fri 24-Jun-05 18:54:25

I would make an appointment with my GP - could be lots of things - wonky blood pressure, diet related (are you eating properly/enough?), could be the beginning of a tummy bug.

Hope you feel better soon!

dejags Fri 24-Jun-05 18:54:54

God Forbid you could be (dare I say it... pregnant?)

dejags Fri 24-Jun-05 18:55:26

Sorry Nutcracker, that presumed you would be unhappy with being pg - I dont know you at all, so dont know what prompted me to say that!

sparklymieow Fri 24-Jun-05 18:55:48

I said that to Nutty on MSN too

dinny Fri 24-Jun-05 18:56:27

my dad feels like that when his bp drops low...

nutcracker Fri 24-Jun-05 18:56:36

Definatly eating properly and enough.

If i'm no better by monday i'll ring the docs.

Nutcracker, I had all those symptoms and it turned out to be Anaemia. Felt a bit like early pregnancy, constantly tired and sick. I felt tired for a while, but only started feeling sick and dizzy after a few months and that's when I went to the doctor. Could be worth checking out? I've been on iron tablets for nearly three months now and I feel so much better I can't believe it.

nutcracker Fri 24-Jun-05 18:57:55

No prob dejags, don't worry about it

Don't think I am pregnant no, but you know what thought did.

dejags Fri 24-Jun-05 19:00:07

Jak - that was my first thought too. Might be worth persuing Nutcracker.

About thought...

followed that muck cart and thought it was a wedding

keep us posted

nutcracker Fri 24-Jun-05 19:00:19

Hadn't thought of anemia. I don't take any vitamins or anything and my diet is ok but will definatly get that checked.

Last time i had a blood test for anemia because of dizzyness I turned out to be pregnant.

dejags Fri 24-Jun-05 19:01:57

is it possible you are pg - i.e. have you missed a pill, been sick, had an accident with other birth control?

MrsGordonRamsay Fri 24-Jun-05 19:02:19

But you know what thought did.

Followed that muck cart and thought it was a wedding.

Pis........ed in the bed and thought he was sweating.

I love that last line, it is so rude.

nutcracker Fri 24-Jun-05 19:03:43

Hmm well birth control at the mo is withdrawal method <<<<<<runs off to hide whilst they all shout>>>>>>>

dejags Fri 24-Jun-05 19:04:02

pmsl MrsGR, I have never heard that before, will have to add it to my repertoire.

dejags Fri 24-Jun-05 19:05:14

don't worry Nutcracker, it will work out. Much more likely that you are slightly run down or similar.

How long would it be before you could a pregnancy test to be sure?

nutcracker Fri 24-Jun-05 19:05:54

Erm well i think i am due on next week some time. Am not very organised with writing it down so not 100% sure.

dejags Fri 24-Jun-05 19:07:44

Might be as well to start on a multivitamin suitable for pregnancy in the meantime (I think certain things in a normal multivit aren't suitable in pregnancy) - anybody out there who can confirm that?

I would still see the doc next week if you dont feel better.

Good luck!

nutcracker Fri 24-Jun-05 19:08:45

nutcracker Fri 24-Jun-05 19:09:25

Does vertigo make you tired too though ??

MrsGordonRamsay Fri 24-Jun-05 19:09:30

If you are PG it won't be the end of the world will it ?? That is meant in a, you would all cope sort of way, not a get over it wayn IYSWIM
