i found out i was pregnant on the 1st of june. by the 8th i was told that it was gone. I only had a couple of days of bleeding and stopped by the time i had my scan on the 8th. However tonight i am bleeding a bit and feeling really crampy. Wondering if it is possible to have a period so soon? They said that there was nothing retained at the scan so surely theres nothing left to come out? TIA

Titania, sorry to read about your mc . Not sure as after my initial bleeding with mc didn't get anything further until I then had a period several weeks later. I'm going to add a couple of links that you might find helpful, one is to a thread I started about cycle lengths after mc which may answer some questions for you later as periods can be a bit all over the place and the other is to the ttc after mc thread - you may not be ready to even think about it but the girls on there are a great support and may be able to answer any other questions you might have over the next wee while. Lol, HTH, Twiga x

Titania - from what i know you're period can be very irregular after a m/c, it could still be a bleed as a result of the m/c, Just because nothing showed up on the scan doesn't mean theres nothing left to come out, it implies that there is nothing large enough to show up to come out. There could still be a little blood. I had a light bleed after the initial bleeding has stopped, it was about a week after and wondered if it was a period or not. It is so hard to find information on miscarriages especially specific things like this. I hope i have helped and Twiga is right, we are a great group on the TTC after a m/c thread and you are more than welcome to join us when you feel ready, even if you're not ttc.

Hiya Titiania so sorry to hear your news. Thought it may help to hear how my afs turn out so you see how different everyone is. Hope you are ok . xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx (was formally cp3 on our ttc 21 thread)

Had my d&c on 15 may at 12 weeks pg. Light bleeding for a bout 4 days and then bleeding again a week later for about 4 days but no pain or clts. It took 55 days for me to get my first proper af and wasnt nice at all. Been very tired, headachey with it. No period pains but lots of blood loss. Finished now thankfully.
