Do you know what I am talking about? Basically do you wash your ladies area on the inside as well as the outside? I know it's a bit gruesome but it's one of those things you can't just drop into a conversation. I do.

WigWamBam Wed 15-Jun-05 12:18:02

No. There's no need; those bits are self-cleansing.

Water's ok, but aren't the special 'feminine products' supposed to cause all manner of problems?

"I thought only americans did this " CD LMFAO

SecondhandRose Wed 15-Jun-05 12:26:42

Don't use anything except water and soap on the outside.

WigWamBam Wed 15-Jun-05 12:26:45

Courtesy of Googe:

"Douching is squirting a soapy or antiseptic solution into the vagina to ‘cleanse’ it. There is no need to do this, because the vagina cleans itself very efficiently. In fact, douching has the opposite effect; it destroys the friendly bacteria, gets rid of the healthy acidity and damages the lining, allowing thrush and other infections to take hold easily".

JoolsToo Wed 15-Jun-05 12:27:22

doesn't this involve a load of fannying about?

jessicasmummy Wed 15-Jun-05 12:27:37

PMSL JT!

SecondhandRose Wed 15-Jun-05 12:28:22

OK then the question is do you wash your Mary inside with water and not with the 'soapy or antiseptic' stuff as I certainly don't do that!
