I can't bring myself to go back to GP. Utterly crap as have all GPs I have ever seen so I will sort this out myself.
I strongly suspect I have PCOS. I need to lose weight even if I don't have PCOS.
How? Any advice? Any books I need to read?

Try the GI diet. Reccommended by the fertility specialist. Worked for me. Lost just under 5 stone in 10 months most of it in the first 4 months. Went from basically no periods to pregnant in that time. Also treat yourself to a wii fit and do at least 30 mins a day. I never felt hungry and I think the only reason the weight loss tailed off was because around Xmas I gave up on everyday exercise. There are lots of books available. Someone you know probably has one!!

Almost ashamed to say that I was a little pissed off that I got pregnant before I hit 5 stone.

"Atkins" type of diet did it for me.(similar really to the GI -same concept all about being insulin resistant) I did my own version, stopped simple carbs but still ate some complex ones rather than completely stopped. Didnt really have a lot of weight to lose but used to have AF almost constantly. Had 7 years of fertility treatment with no luck. Was quite amazing how well things settled down and after a 10 year gap after DD hey presto,DS1, then things got really spooky because I conceived again whilst BF DS1. Gp's can be pretty rubbish with this you need referring to an endocrinologist Good Luck.

What makes you think you have PCSO? Have you had a scan or blood tests?
