Cervical Biopsy (TMI alert)!!!

OK, I had a biopsy on 2 different parts of the cervix plus a smear today. Right, you have been warned, TMI. My appointment was at 9:45 this morning. Since I've came home I've had a lot of bleeding, similar to the first maybe 2 days of my normal period (which is quite heavy at first).

Apart from that.....can't believe I'm saying this.....I have been having big clots, about 1.5-2cm long. Am worried about this. And it looks different from the kind of clots I get when am on my period

Is it normal after a (double) biopsy?

Hmm, I would ring NHS direct tomorrow.
I get clots when am menstruating, not that big.
It could be par for the course, but best to ring and check, eh?

The advice post birth used to be to report any clots bigger than a 50p so I'd follow the same rule here I think. No harm in calling NHS direct now.

I had a single biopsy but didn't get anywhere near that much bleeding and no clots. I'd get back in touch with NHS direct and see what they say. Hope it's all ok though.

I physically feel totally fine (apart from in my head where I am worrying like mad). I was really shocked when I went to the loo earlier. Think I will see how things look in the morning and give NHS a call. I am the squeamishest person in the world so anything out of the ordinary for me is like [OMG]

Oh sweetness, that sounds really scary- I'd be freaking right out...can you ring the useless tossers NHS Direct now? Or get yourself to a walkin centre? It is more than likely you'll be fine by morning, but you wouldn't be making a fuss to get it checked out.

Thanks ladies

Have been better today, everything is much, ahem, lighter. I read a couple of things about it and apparently it is normal Am going to keep an eye on it in the next couple of days though and see how it goes, plus I feel scared reluctant to let anyone.....erm.....near there at the moment.

Thanks again
