Stomach pains after giving birth?

I have had horrible lower tummy pains for the past 4 days or so,along with the occasional shooting pain, which feels like a trapped nerve, around my bottom (sorry if TMI).I don't remember having anything like this after having dd1 & am starting to worry about it.I had afterpains for a few days but they stopped & this is completely different.DH says that it is probably just everything moving back around & going back to where it should be.I am hoping he's right as they seem worse if I exert myself.

Anyone suffered anything similar? I'm starting to imagine all sorts of horrible things going on down there....

I was going to suggest afterpains. our DH is probably right - everything does get shoved out of the way to make room for the baby! If you're still seeing a midwife, mention it to her.

I had pains after having my dd, Mine got worse after a few week so called the doctor, i had an infection where the placenta didnt come out whole and a bit was left behind.
i would of thought it was just where you have pulled muscles. If it gets worse than see your gp or go and get it checked out to put your mind at rest.
