Cant sleep without sleeping pills

Hi

I have been using nytol herbol sleeping pills for about a year now. I have been going through a pretty tough time and feel they help relax me enough to make me sleep, without them i just lay awake with my mind whizzing. I work 3 days a week with very early starts and without taking them i just dont manage to drop off. I am just worried about what prolonged use could be doing to me? I know i have probably built up a resistance to them by now but honestly dont sleep if i dont take them. Could they be doing me harm?
