Anyone any knowledge of having a hip-replacement replaced?

My mum had a hip replacement eleven years ago and it is starting to feel the pain again. She is worried that another op will be too much pain/longer recovery and is reluctant to find out. Anyone know anyone who has had this done? Thanks.

My GMIL who is 97 has just had one of her hips re replaced. No longer recovery than before, and no particular problems with pain.

She was a bit unsure about having it done initially, but has no regrets at all
