Glad i could be here.

Read you 'cloudy mucus' and thought downstairs not upstairs

Hope Dr can reassure you.

googling isn't advisable unless you have the facts and are just confirming them or looking for more 'life experiences' to be honest.

Hi mumof2000, that sounds a bit like my disgusting mouth/throat. I always seem to have disgusting lumps on my tonsils and the arch bit in front of it - sorry is that tmi? - and it's hard not to worry about them, isn't it?

Does it hurt at all? Because, if it does, and you're not pg/bfing like I am at the mo, I've always found that gargling with soluble aspirin really helps to kill the pain (swallow it afterwards for max benefits obviously).

Can you do something to distract yourself today? Have you got little ones at home with you? Trip to park? Coffee shop?

Can you try the breathing in through your nose then exhaling very slowly out through your mouth thing? That does help me when I'm having anxiety.

I get the swallowing thing when I'm anxious too, so could that be the same for you?

Do you have any strategies that help you to relax when you're feeling anxious?

Would chatting about something else help?

I'm sure GP will be able to give you a referral if you need one. Have you ever talked to them about your anxiety? They might be able to help with that too.

Do you have a garden you can go into and just breathe? Or a balcony, or open window and lean out? Try that now for 5 mins and then come back.

If I'm not here when you get back it will because ds has woken up and needs feeding btw.

Well done mumof2000 - sounds like you found something that works for you. Remember you can always make an appointment to see the dentist after doc if you're not happy with how that goes.

xx
