PersonalClown Mon 06-Jul-09 19:48:25

Oh god yes.... down my spine, through my hips and down my legs to around my knees.
Makes me feel so tired and weak.

mad4myboys Mon 06-Jul-09 19:50:45

really? Thought you'd all say no and im a freak! Cant work out why i have only recently started getting this!

worley Mon 06-Jul-09 19:51:53

yes down my legs and bum, my gp told me it was a lack of iron and to eat more red meat at the certain time of the month.
but i hardly ever eat red meat so never took him up on his advice

mad4myboys Mon 06-Jul-09 19:52:42

slowreadingprogress Mon 06-Jul-09 20:17:16

yup I get this, always have

Hassled Mon 06-Jul-09 20:18:43

yes - my bits sort of throb sometimes and my upper thighs ache.

Dumbledoresgirl Mon 06-Jul-09 20:18:57

Yes, I have had this occasionally - not all the time thank God. An intense sort of throbbing pain in the vulva. Awful. I want to hold my hand on it all the time but of course you can't walk around holding yourself like a 3 year old.

jellycat Mon 06-Jul-09 20:19:20

Yes, a slightly bruised, swollen, tender feeling

lisasimpson Mon 06-Jul-09 20:25:20

yes I had the pleasure of it today in fact! the pain in the thighs and the throbbing in the vulva.

dizzymare Mon 06-Jul-09 20:25:45

Yes, and achy thighs

Chalkpink Mon 06-Jul-09 20:25:51

Yes, yes yes, I get this.
I hypothesize that as I know I have a retroverted uterus (it tips backwards) it must be pressing/throbbing on certain nerves during my period and hence the low down pain around vulva/back passage and all down the back of my legs.
But I'm probably wrong hmm

Will try increasing my iron intake though.

Woooozle100 Mon 06-Jul-09 20:28:22

ooh I get this. And have been told I have a retroverted uterus (erm by a gynae. Obv!) So maybe there's something in yr theory chalkpink

nickytwotimes Mon 06-Jul-09 20:28:34

I ahve this.
I am seriously hmm about the iron thing. i'd like to know the basis for that crap statement from your GP.
My haemaglobin count is very high and I am vagetarian.

PurpleOne Tue 07-Jul-09 02:12:19

i have retroverted uterus too...but my aching and pains only got worse after i got sterilised.

it starts from my belly, aorund my sides and down my legs. first day is fine....2nd day ill wake up with pains and aches and wanting to take paracetamol and sleep.
