DS has a rash

DS is 19m. Was a bit off colour on Friday, with a temperature and was sick at nursery. Today he is much more like his old self but has a bit of a rash (lots of pale pink little tiny spots) on his trunk. Any suggestions? Seems fine, but wasn't sure if it was anything to worry about.

(I know, I should take him in for checking, but wondered what your experience of such rashes was first. )

I'm thinking viral not meningitis. Did eat tea, is bright, just volunteered to say his prayers and is happily brushing teeth with daddy.

No, hasn't had any drugs at all.

DH is satisfied he is hale and hearty and just had "a thing"!!

But hey, I can still cluck like Mother Hen, can't I!

not to worry you at all, but for the sake of such a simple test just get a glass and roll it over the rash. If spots fade you can be a well reassured mummy!

Took him to dr today, who said: "wow!" when he saw it. It's a viral rash, but doc said that it wasn't infectious. Phoned nursery who are happy to have him back tomorrow (which is a massive relief!)

Thanks all, and for the glass advice.
