Lonelymum Thu 14-Apr-05 21:27:30

Would you like some criticism? Can you take it? Please don't be offended, but I found three spelling mistakes on your home page and it would look much more professional if you corrected them:

(Sorry, I am a spelling freak and I am always noticing incorrect spelling wherever I go)

Otherwise, it looks very good and I wish you luck with the business.

love the black and white bubbles

hub2dee Thu 14-Apr-05 22:06:41

Lonelymum: You missed the biggy in the 'headline' - YOUR life...

Good luck with your business.

thanks changing spellings now!

hunkermunker Fri 15-Apr-05 11:28:24

Looks good - but I think you probably accept paypal, etc - not except.

And I'd take the ! out of the middle of the last line of the first paragraph too

Good luck!

hunkermunker Fri 15-Apr-05 11:29:36

On your enquiries link:

If you have any enquirys or a request please e.mail us and we will get back to you as soon as possib

change enquirys to enquiries and possib to possible

hunkermunker Fri 15-Apr-05 11:30:28

And also "and we will" not "an we will"

I do this kind of thing for a living - yes, pedantry pays our mortgage

hunkermunker Fri 15-Apr-05 11:35:06

On catalogue page:

Check all your donts and cants and change them to with apostrophes

forget, not for get

be able, not beable

deterrent, not deterant

occasions not occassions

JoolsToo Fri 15-Apr-05 11:35:10

space after first para
Capital 'I'
space after ailments! (?)
New sentence? - Suitable for the most sensitive skin
Full stop after sensitive skin

JoolsToo Fri 15-Apr-05 11:35:45

hm - see you changed your name this morning - what happened to 'sneaky'?

hunkermunker Fri 15-Apr-05 11:37:54

Got fed up with people asking why I was sneaky

And worried I'd tarnish my good reputation - pmsl!

JoolsToo Fri 15-Apr-05 11:45:29

HappyDaddy Fri 15-Apr-05 11:57:56

The page may be basic for now but it tells us what you do and how we can get in touch, that's good enough. Good luck with it.

Hunker, are you a proofreader?

charleepeters Fri 15-Apr-05 12:02:44

god im bad at this thanks you guys will do it now!

JoolsToo Fri 15-Apr-05 12:03:27

I think I would use 'scent' instead of 'smell' too

hub2dee Fri 15-Apr-05 12:10:34

Wow.... look at these proof-readers go !!!!

Like a pack of friendly vultures !

hunker hugged me last night so I took away her sneakyness and made her nice again.

<<That'll get the tongues wagging>>

charleepeters Fri 15-Apr-05 12:15:02

Well that took a while thanks for that i had no idea it had so many mistakes punctuation and spelling was never my strong point! anything else you find let me know thanks again i so hope this works out!

Lonelymum Fri 15-Apr-05 12:15:56

Looks much better Charleepeters, but do note other people's comments and make those changes too.

Hunkermunker, can you get me a job as a proof reader? I am really good at it (despite missing the you instead of your on the home page!)

Lonelymum Fri 15-Apr-05 12:16:22

Sorry posts crossed.

fostermum Fri 15-Apr-05 18:36:18

thanks all for takeing the time to help us out and do let us know of any improvements you think we can do

AnnieQ Fri 15-Apr-05 18:42:55

You've still got lots of missed apostrophes - its, cant, dont.

Forget is one word, not two.

Occasions doesn't have a double s.

Pregnancy isn't spelled pregancy.

The correct spelling of deterrent is ... well ... deterrent.

debs26 Fri 15-Apr-05 18:49:48

any chance of some photos on catalogue page? would be nice to see what finished soaps look like. might be worth listing basic scents aswell as ailments like rose petal, lavender etc. think people are more likely to pick and mix yummy smells than buy for ailments or skin type (if its for a gift you dont want something turning up saying this is for your dry skin!). personally i am more likely to buy something off a list than ask for it. apart from that i think its great, love the bubbles and its easy to navigate

JoolsToo Fri 15-Apr-05 18:52:19

you've still not changed deterrent and Insomnia charleepeters!
