getting toddler to take medicine w/o retching

dd has been prescribed augmentin for something - not sure what - only evident symtom is high temp whcih isnt going away, and she tells me & doc wee wee is sore - preamble sorry
got the spoonful in her mouth , she rectched belched and eventually got it up, if i give it to her in watery milk would it lose effectiveness?

I have the same problem so I will watch this thread with interest. I have tried medicine in yoghurtgs, fromage frais and chocolate pudding and its worked a few times. I did try it in milk once and he refused it

i have the same problem.
only thing that works are suppositories, for me.

have u tried with the syringe and to put a little bit into the side of her cheek? My ds wretches a lot with meds put straight into his mouth but if they go into his cheek at about 2mls a time he swallows it easier
