The study wasn't very good. If there is a problem its because autistic kids have a problem with ammonia levels (which if I've understood correctly is the problem with augmentin). Most children don't have a problem with ammonia levels so most children won't have a problem with augmenting. And hey ho those that do would probably be felled by something else anyway (sorry feeling rather cynical today).
