Adventure holidays for children with asthma

Hi,

Further to a conversation with Carrie, who suggested mumsnet talk was the best place to put the following information, I would like to pass on details about a service run by the National Asthma Campaign, which may be of interest to any parents who have children with asthma.

PEAK holidays give children with asthma the opportunity to experience an adventure holiday away from home. The holidays enable participants, aged 6-17, to learn more about their condition, develop new skills and self-confidence, as well as gain independence, through a varied programme of fun activities.

The holidays usually last a week and, as they are run by a charity, the cost is subsidised. A week-long holiday is £300 per child, however, in order not to exclude anyone from taking part, further financial help can be provided and the cost is based purely on the participant?s ability to pay.

For further information on PEAK holidays, please contact Patrick Ladbury at [email protected] or 020 7704 5892. Alternatively, check out \linkasthma.org.uk/help/peak.php{}.

Thank you for your time.
