Ouch!

Are you going to have to stay in hospital all that time?

Do you one of those little tv things at your bed with the internet connection?

Not much consolation but atleast you can get on here for a chat and not just laying staring at the walls.

You poor thing! Broke my leg when pregnant - not ideal. Try and make the most of it and look on the brightside: no housework, lots of attention and sympathy and all the trashy mags you can read with time to actually read them! I really do know how hard it is, but try and stay positive or you'll go mad! good luck with the op

Ouch! Poor you. I broke my ankle stupidly falling over once after stepping off a kerb badly. It is really painful. Hopefully they'll give you a walking cast after your op and you should find you're able to stay fairly mobile.

a friend of dh's broke his leg last year and got stuck on the ward too waiting for an op

I was really surprised that he, at the age of about 45, was the youngest on the ward by a good 20 years or so!

hope they let you out soon!
