Smear Test - Wrong Time Of The Month? Advice please!

I've booked a smear test but now realise it's not mid cycle. It's only about 5 days after AF.

I waited 20 mins on the phone to book the bloody appt.

Before that, I had it on my to do list for about two months.

Do I have to cancel it? Will it be ok this early in my cycle?

It's tomorrow morning. I just can't be arsed moving it again, but obviously no point going if they can't do it properly.

The key thing is that AF is indeed finished and there is no blood to get in the way of the sample.

Is your AF length fairly reliable or does it occasionally go on a bit?

When I had my last smear, I had a 10 day AF (very light and not a real bother to me). The nurse did it and said I might get a request to come back. However, it was fine.

So long as your period is definitely over, it shouldn't be a problem.

It's normally over in about 4/5days. But then (warning, TMA) there is often a bit of "residual" that arrives a few days later.

Urrgghh, just grossed myself out. LOL.
