Got to go to the dentist...

in 20mins. First time in about 2 years. Just about got the treatment for free. Couldn't go in pregnancy because I was so ill, couldn't go until now because of the DTs. I need a lot of work and today's appointment is 40 mins. Oh boy, I am so not looking forward to this. DH will be working overnight so I'll be feeling sorry for myself all alone with DTs.

<<can you see the blatant attempts to elicit sympathy? Has it worked?>>

clearly dentists do not inspire sympathy so I shall cry gently into my toothpaste as I make one last valiant attempt to purify my teeth before going.

<<sobbing commences whilst DTs attempt to eat old food hidden under sofa>>

no rescue remedy, but thank you for caring. I'm an absolute wimp when it comes to dentists. I get there and pretend that it's all ok, but inside I'm cr*pping myself.

Hope it's not too bad - I need to go to the dentist but keep putting it off

MunchedTooManyMarsLady Tue 08-Mar-05 12:23:25

It was so much better than I thought, and I had a root canal done. She's a lovely dentist. Another appointment in a few weeks.

Off you go and book picadilly (still want to type picasilly lol). You'll be fine. I'm the biggest dentist coward going. I make myself go to set an example to the kids. Go on honey. Pick up the phone and book your appointment.

Oh Mars, hope you feeling alright now.

Root canal work eh? I've had that done a few years back, had to go three times before it was complete.

By the way, Jacks on his way back to you.

Munched - your dentist isn't in Surrey perchance?

Well done by the way!

MunchedTooManyMarsLady Tue 08-Mar-05 19:40:53

Not Surrey sorry! lol (I just said that out loud and my tiny mind laughed)

I'm much better now, have taken my second dose of paracetamols and am off to bookgroup to drink copious amounts of red wine. That'll do it.

I hope you enjoyed him doggie darling.

Hope you enjoyed your evening with RL people Mars.

Yes, Jack was wonderful and I'm missing him already. I particularly liked his sun-bleached (ha) hair.

Actually, I do quite fancy Kiefer Sutherland. He's such a hero too.
