Rash on ds - allergy to washing powder?

Ds2 has had a rash on his torso and face for a few days. Doesnt seem to be itching him just slighly dappled red rash - similar to scarlet fever rash my ds1 had a few yeaars ago. I did change washing powder @ a week ago but it is still a non bio - could it be a reactio to this or would this make him itch like mad?

Am at a loss as to what it is - no real temp or itching with it and have no experience of allergies.

Not an expert either but when dd was about a year she had something similar- but not on her face and I put it down to washing powder too. She had it on limbs and torso and it stopped where her clothes stopped if you see what I mean. Disappeared of its own accord...but I hadn't changed products!

ooh I just remembered that my DS got some clothes handed down to him from a cousin, they'd been pre-washed by hi lovely aunt... but obviously she used a different powder, the first time he wore all the clothes he got a sort of heat rash, but it didn't seem to be itchy at all... and it passed with time.... I'm no expert either though! You need MTS or someone like her they always know stuff like this lol

Hmm this one wasn't on his face either, just his torso and legs.

ds1's skin can't tolertate all non-bio's. There's 1 or 2 which don't trigger his eczema. When I use only those, he has no eczema. If I use any others, angry red patches start to appear after about a week.
