Ive used it loads before never noticed a stain problem. woke up this morning with 2 yellow fingernails...and not even on the hand I used to put the deepheat on with as my left had I have bad excema so I defietnly used my right had to apply deep heat to my back, but my thumb and pointly finger on left hand have yellow finger nails and my PJs have yellow splodges all down the left leg...

So does deepheat stain yellow????

it may do under certain conditions.
for instance, eating certain foods can make you more or less acidic. if you have eaten something that makes your body/skin more acidic yesterday it may have interacted with the product especially if you were a bit 'sweaty' last night too?

oooh interesting. i had chips and curry sauce before bed and i never usually eat that/anything like that.

only other product i had was sudocrem on my excema but know from using it on bums that it doesnt stain cloth/disposable nappies yellow so surely not my jammies either.

if the curry sauce was yellow then it would have been cumin based but cumin is slightly alkaline. curry though has many other ingredients like sugar which is very acidic forming. other thing possibly then is that the cumin and tumeric, a sub-constituent of cumin can induce sweating. sweating is the bodies way of cooling itself but is also a major mechanism for ridding the body of excess acid, so this again may be what happened, the acidic sweat reacting with the menthol and turpenes in the deepheat product?

sudocrem is an alkaline product. it was developed for babies and babies are predominately alkaline. that new baby smell when they are born is because they are highly alkaline and remain more alkiline than acidic till they stop having breast milk.
