The group listed below need mothers who had AND those who didn't have hyperemesis gravidarum for their research. They need 200 more women who didn't have the condition. More information on the web link

Hyperemesis gravidarum (HG) is a debilitating disease of pregnancy marked by moderate to severe nausea/vomiting that causes rapid weight loss, malnutrition and dehydration in the mother, and unknown consequences for their unborn child(ren). Death may occur if inadequately treated.

I didn't have HG but I can't see how I can help on any of these polls since they all start with 'If you had HG.... ' with no option for if you didn't. It's US-based too so UK mothers would find it difficult to participate in anything other than internet surveys.

Blooming Awful might be a more useful resource for those in the UK.

This is the page for the 2004 survey where they are including the control group of women who didn't have this problem. Although they are an american group there are plenty of UK women who have the problem and research doesn't just help those on one side of the pond. Yes the UK group would be more support if anyone going through it is well enough to use them. I filled out one of the online questionnaires quite a while back and the only contact I have had since is to let me know what progress they have made.

misdee where you vomiting during delivery too? That's what happened to one of my relatives which is why I want to help.

OK, I didn't look at the 2004 page cos it's 2005 now and I thought that would all be historical done-and-dusted surveys. Perhaps they could re-name it 'Current' rather than 2004?
