should i be concerned?

Currently going 18/19 days between periods with a period lasting 4/5 days before was going at least 23-25 days between.

Not sure if its revelant but never been on the pill only ever used condoms.

Presuming you're not on the pill, if your cycle changes, you should check with your GP. There can be all sorts of reasons why this happens, often it's a hormone imbalance. Have you got any other symptoms which you've not had before, such as frequent weeing or abdominal pain? I'm not an expert, but I have had a few period/cycle/ovary problems

Age?

could you be peri- meno?

I was wondering this same thing recently. My cycle has been 29 days since I was 13. Recently (last 10 months) it has shortened to 27 days.

i would have thought that if I were peri-menopausal my cylce would lengthen, but I don't know.

katz I only have 20 days inbetween periods too, since having child no.3, 5 years ago. I will watch with interest to see if you get any advice, as having themk so frequently hacks me right off!

I'm pretty sure when people hit peri-menopause their cycle gets longer, not shorter. It could be hormonal.

Are you lot all 38 by any chance?

Just wondering! Obviously I am 22. (ha ha)

I should google it. But it will probably tell me I have womb cancer. Cycle Cancer.

Ovarian dysfunction?

Is that another way of saying that the Ovaries are clock-watching, it's four o'clock, they finish at five and they're going to go to the loo, and faff about for an hour before they log off and take their phone of the hook...

Or maybe it's all the wine I drink on saturday ngihts.

Yes Naughtiest girl, I am 38. And reading beanieb's online diagnosis I may have a tumour or ovarian dysfunction! Happy days!

Wow, that's it. We clearly both have 38-itus.

Being 38 is shit. I look 58.

Hmm. My cycle is 23 days also, after years of the pill/injection and now childbirth. I am 36!

beanieb · 30/08/2008 22:56

Feenie - mine was 24 days but I have been taking Vitamin B and agnus Castus and it's gone up to 28.

Hmmm, I'm sensing a pattern here.

Do you know, I would love to be starting the menopause. I can't face 20 more years of periods every 20 days.

I was taking liquorice root for my pmt headaches, and today my son put them in a teapot of water. 9 euro worth. ARghgh.

I have really dark circles under my eyes. I look like I need to sleep until my fortieth. Maybe if I go to bed NOW and sleep 'til about May 2010 I will finally look refreshed.

Now this is weird. I have really dark shadows under my eyes too.

Weird. Hmmm. I wonder what vital mineral or vitamin we are lacking.

I am quite healthy really. Pescatarian, avoid crappy food 90% of the time, don't smoke, don't drink much.......

I want to buy estee lauder 'uncircle'. I think it made a slight difference years aago when I was working and had money for moisturisers. Now it's Tesco moisturiser. I might have to fork out more for eye cream though.

I'm worth it.

Weird here too. 21-23 day cycles (since having DCs) and panda eyes. I'm 47.

I get PMT symptoms a week before period AND when I'm ovulating, which gives me about a week every cycle when I'm feeling fine!

Every 27 days I can cope with, but every 21 days it would just feel like having a period every ten minutes. REally blardy annoying.

NoBiggy · 30/08/2008 23:40

If we're sharing our pain here, I bleed for 11 days, have 11 days off, then bleed for another 11 days.

And I'm 39.

wow, 50% of your life is a period. That is awful nobiggy. {big sympathy}
